Following a very successful launch in 2017, Nettleham Scout Group is once again holding its popular Scarecrow Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend Sunday 6th May and Monday 7th May 2018, running from 10.00am-4.00pm both days.

Come along and explore our lovely village, enjoying the homemade scarecrows along the way. Trail maps will be available on the day from the Scout Hut on Vicarage Lane for £2.00.

You will also be able to purchase light refreshments, including tea/coffee and homemade cakes.

Each trail map will include a space to vote for your favourite scarecrow and, for the younger participants, there is the opportunity to receive a prize by completing a treasure trail.

If you would like to enter a scarecrow into the Festival please collect an entry form from Scandigifts [located behind the Co-op in Nettleham] and return it to Scandigifts with your entry fee of £3.00 for individuals or £5.00 for businesses and groups. The closing date for receipt of entries is Tuesday 3rd April 2018.

All entries will be given a number to display alongside the scarecrow and this number will be shown on the trail map.

There is no set theme for the scarecrows – they can either be ‘traditional’ or styled in a theme of your own choice.

Prizes will be awarded for each of the following categories:

A: Single scarecrow – traditional/theme of your own choice – entry fee £3.00
B: Group of scarecrows – traditional/theme of your own choice – entry fee £3.00
C: Business or group entry – traditional/theme of your own choice – entry fee £5.00

If you would like to enter a scarecrow but do not live in Nettleham, we will have some spaces around the village where your entry can be placed. The entry form and further details can be viewed/downloaded below.
