Fundraising for Sightsavers

Thank you all for your support of the Eggstra Special Coffee Morning held on Saturday, 1st April in aid of Sightsavers.

It was so good of you to bring gifts for the raffle, cake, tombola and knitwear stalls and of course all the help given by those kind folk who looked after the various stalls was much appreciated.  It was a good morning of fun and fellowship and your generosity meant that the grand sum of £365.00. was raised for Sightsavers.  Isn’t that fantastic and thank you all very much.

There is further good news to follow for the chicks and bunnies knitted by Doris Colman and Wynne Rollin were also sold after the Coffee Morning.  Rhona kindly allowed sales at her salon and customers there raised the grand sum of £40.00.  Thank you again Rhona and your staff for all the help you gave us.

Wynne Rollin also sold chicks and bunnies at Lincoln County Hospital and those sales raised the grand sum of £56.00.  Thank you Wynne.

There followed further donations which meant that I eventually sent the grand sum of £470 to Sightsavers from us all.  Again, however, life  is full of surprises for a few days later, through the letter box came another cheque , made out to Sightsavers for the grand sum of £250.00.  Of course it was fantastic to receive this and it was a great pleasure to forward the cheque to Sightsavers.  Thank you for such generosity.

As you can see, over £700.00. has been sent to Sightsavers from us all.  Isn’t that fantastic and thank you so much for your share in that whatever form it takes.  The folk who can now be treated will be forever grateful to the help we have given Sightsavers so a very big thank you to you all for your support!

To continue our fund raising, I have booked a stall for Sightsavers at Nettleham Cares on Saturday, 14th  October in the Village Hall.

Thanking you all once again.
