** NETTLEHAM CRASH OUT COUNTY CUP THEY DID SO WELL IN LAST SEASON AND CONTINUE BAD FORM **

Highlights
Nettleham a game of 2 halves Nettles go behind 2-0 before half time and leave to much to do second half , another day of missed chances

FT Lincoln Utd Fc 3-1 Nettleham fc

Sky Blues set out to make amends from last season’s disappointment in losing in the final to go one step further this year and to put an end to this real bad start to the season , playing 8 only winning 2 of them , after today ending in defeat 2 in 9. Though they could only blame themselves has they had 4 clear cut chances first half to take the lead but didn’t make keeper work. Then sloppy defending leads to Lincoln utd 1st on 25 mins GOAL , then again on 41mins from to many players being out of position leading to a 2nd for and Lincoln United on 41mins GOAL.

HT Lincoln Utd Fc 2-0 Nettleham fc

Nettleham come for second half to try and make amends but within 3 mins Hand Lincoln utd next goal from some bad defending. GOAL , Nettles fight back on 53 mins a free kick from 20 yards flies into top corner making it 3-1 from Jack Thornton. Then Nettles step up but again do not take their 5 chances as they were on top and Lincoln go to a back 4 to stem The Nettles flow but missed chances separates both teams with Lincoln utd Taking there’s.

FT Lincoln Utd 3-1 Netleham fc

(Jack Thornton 53)

Manager Jay said after the game, "We are making 2 many individual mistakes and not working together as a team on transition and simply not taking our chances story of the season so far and too many not following the game plan or transferring training into match day like we did last season. Lincoln Utd took their chances today and we didn’t it was that simple , we are not playing how we can to only win 2 in 9 says a lot , only positives from today was the return of Finlay Ginnelly who played his first game in 8 since being injured from 1st game of season and made a huge impact”

Man of the Match Ben Harwood after a 3 -1 defeat people will be saying how come but he never gave up and never made a mistake and he hasn’t being play recently not up to the level he was last season and showed today a long way to that

Special mentions to Callum Martin who stuck to the plan and made some line breaking passes all game but no one reading them to latch on and when they did they didn’t finish them . Also Finlay return was a huge thing today to have him back in the squad and gave a very strong performance considering what he had to go through and time out through injury

Tonight I wanna say thank you to all the new volunteers and of course especially those who show up every week and put their all in. I want to also say thank you to Nettleham village who donated enough items to keep us going for a long time.
Although it’s not as cold this week after walking around after awhile it was still cold which is where a hot drink and some food can make all the difference for someone on the street.
I can’t thank you all enough for the donations that have been flooding in over the past few weeks, they really do make all the difference in helping. With these provisions we are able to supply our friends with kit to help keep them warmer.

** NETTLEHAM DIG OUT A DRAW , POOR OFFICIATING SPOILS THE GAME**

Highlights
Nettleham regain some confidence after two bad weeks , with a point against the team that put 7 past them the week before

FT Cleethorpes Fc 2-2 Nettleham fc

Sky Blues set out on the travels to try and gain some confidence lost over last few weeks , for having to play with limited numbers week before last and last week getting smashed 7-0 by todays opponents. And within 2 minutes Cleethorpes take the Lead and Nettles fear happening all again and where not in the game for first 25mins , obviously still feeling the effects of previous weeks on 25mins Nettleham make changes and within 4 mins Nettleham find themselves 1-1 with a nicely taken goal from Josh Smart it gets played up to Shae who gets brought down the ball advantage the ball drops to Jack Thornton he plays it through to Josh who slots home inside the box . Couple of speculative efforts from both sides and the half comes to an end.

HT Cleethorpes Town Fc 1-1 Nettleham Fc

Nettleham come out the stronger from half time and pin Cleethorpes back for 10/15 mins but on the hour Cleethorpes break down right side gets pulled back and Cleethorpes player edge of box drills one into bottom of corner great GOAL 2-1 , Nettles respond again but don’t really trouble Clee’s keeper , Cleethorpes have 2 pen claims waived away and honestly they should have been pens , the ref then loses control of the game for the last 20 mins , chucking yellows out and a red to a Cleethorpes player , but this was brewing from first half has he never cracked down on it from both sides early enough, Nettles on 73 break right side Szymon has 1v1 and keeper saves but rebound falls to Shae who side foot home 2-2 GOAL, Nettleham have a couple of speculative shots in remaining time one from Callum which narrowly misses keeper rooted , and a cross from right side that Cleethorpes defend very well , in the last minute Cleethorpes have couple of chances and Adam pulls of a top save pushing above bar certain goal , ends 2-2 a fare result on reflection

Manager Jay said after the game, "After the few weeks we have had to contend with , today was a massive step in the right direction , from a 7-0 drumming to get a 2-2 is credit to the lads today , grit determination passion was asked for and evident from so many of the sky Blues today , so credit where credit is due , we stood up to the task today from a very good side in Cleethorpes though it’s another point , that wasn’t important today , what was important is we turned competed and we did”

FT (Josh Smart 29, Shae O’connor 73)

Man of the Match: Josh Smart was involved in every we did today and got a goal at a crucial time , & Shae O’connor when he went on turned the game towards us and set the tone with his energy and passion and again got on the score sheet so well deserved to both of them but out of the 14 , anyone of 11 could have been awarded it today

Special mentions to all today but especially Tom Carter and Cole Willerton who had passion desire today which has lacked for so many weeks these 2 contributed to a good performance today , Adam as well didn’t have a huge amount to do but to keep focused and pull a save of in last minute like he did deserves recognition.

Proposals for Bill Bailey's -
The Parish Council are considering extending the Children's Play Area at Bill Bailey's onto the upper tier in the park's far corner.

We surveyed village residents about play equipment in 2016 and the main requests were to:
1 - have more play equipment for older children
2 - have more modern/natural play equipment
3 - expand existing play sites in the village rather than developing new ones.

Following the survey the Parish Council have worked with numerous play equipment companies to look at various designs. Our preferred layout is this design from Wicksteed (see attached images).

The cost of this scheme would be around £73,000. The Parish Council have been saving for this project for several years and are considering putting £15,000 towards the cost. West Lindsey District Council have agreed to contribute £8000. The remaining £50,000 needs to be raised from grant schemes.

At this stage we are interested in feedback from villagers on this scheme. We can't meet everyone's exact requests but we feel we have responded to the broad themes from the survey. Please let us know what you think by adding your comments on the Parish Council Facebook page.

We are particularly interested in feedback from 7-15 year olds, who are the target audience for this new area. If you can provide us any direct feedback from children this would be very helpful for us to use in our funding bids. We don't want children's names but if you could give us
their age and any quotes they have about the design that would be really helpful.

The Parish Council will be making a formal decision about pursuing this scheme at our next meeting on 19th November - all members of the public are welcome to attend and contribute to the discussion.

New Extended Hours arrangements

Nettleham Medical Practice is pleased to be able to offer our patients access to routine appointments at evenings and weekends.

The new service is part of an extended access service which has been commissioned by NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group and wil start on 1st September 2018.

The appointments will also be available on bank holidays and across the Easter, Christmas and New Year periods.

Extended hours appointments are for pre-bookable non-urgent appointments. Examples of these include chronic illness and medicines reviews.

The service is being delivered by a federation of GP practices in the area. If a patient wishes to attend an extended hours appointment, they may need to travel to another local GP practice and may not necessarily see their own GP.

In our locality, appointments are available between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are also a number of additional appointments being made available during core hours (8.00am to 6.30pm Monday – Friday)

To arrange an appointment or for more information on when and where appointments are available, speak to the practice receptionist.
